Pit kilns were often used to create figurines of people and animals from clay; as hearths to cook, provide light, and bear heat for warmth. Kilns used for pottery were advantageous for the low cost and relative simplicity of construction.
In the same way, Kiln Press will shape creative projects into web and print forms. The press seeks to publish chapbooks of place-based poetry and prose. Place can be defined as homeland, country, neighborhood, or street.
Kiln press is currently not considering unsolicited manuscripts. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
